Compartimos con todos los interesados la primera difusión del Acarology Summer Program del próximo año. Esperamos que lo puedan aprovechar.

Dear all
As many of you have heard, the Acarology Summer Program is moving from Ohio State University, where it was run for several decades, to the University of Arkansas. Summer 2019 will be the first iteration on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Details of the courses offered in 2019 (Introductory Acarology, Agricultural Acarology, and a course on Water Mites and Velvet Mites) can be found at the website below. Registration is now open for these courses. We are still working out some details regarding housing, so currently the option to register for housing on campus is not available. We hope to open housing registration up soon. You can still register for the course now and take care of housing later. Housing will be on campus in suite-style dormitory rooms with bedrooms, bathrooms, and a living room. Each participant will have their own bedroom. The dormitory complex has laundry facilities, computer lab, communal kitchen, and an attached dining hall. It will just be a few minute walk from the dormitory to the classroom. The cost will likely be $325/week for multiple occupancy suites. If you register for a course before housing registration is open, you will be notified when the housing option is available. Housing is not mandatory and you are free to find your own housing options in town, but you will be responsible for getting to the program each day.

Please forward the link to anyone you know that may be interested in attending the summer program. While the location has changed, many of the great instructors from past years will be present to continue the high quality instruction the program is known for.

Please direct any questions you may have to me at acari@uark.edu and put Summer Acarology Program in the subject line so I can be sure to respond quickly.

All the best
