On the occasion of International Women’s Day, from the Latin American Society of Acarology, we honor the women who, with determination and perseverance, managed to walk the path of acarology in different Latin American countries. These women scientists, with their careers, full of valuable research, discoveries and teachings, are an example and a source of inspiration for the new generations of acarologists. Our solidarity with women who suffer any type of violence or discrimination linked to their gender status. As well as our appreciation to those who fight to reverse these situations.
